The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (pictured above) took advantage of the situation by unleashing their "Avalanche Rushing Attack" to grind vaunted Virginia Tech into pulp.
The Yellow Jackets, eschewing the pass with only one completion for the game, outgained the Hokies 308 to 175 on the ground and controlled the ball for 70 plays to 45 for the Virginians.
The result was a 28-23 win for the Rambling Wreck, in a game never as close as the final score indicates.
