Of the teams that played, it was another bad week for the conference which continues to look like it lost all the momentum that last years regular season brought.
Through the first five weeks there were many more disappointments than surprises for the Big 12. The ACC, Mountain West, MAC, and Conference USA have all made big statements against the Big 12 this year. Week 5 was no different as the conference suffered losses to the Big East, ACC, and SEC this week.
Colorado opened the disappointing weekend with a better than expected performance against West Virginia. The Buffaloes stayed in the game by capitalizing on West Virginia turnovers, but also committed a few of their own.
